September 30, 2008 Tuesday

I have been busy this morning packing more boxes for our anticipated move on October 10th. I know it's time to start putting up Fall/Halloween decorations but the way things are going it's going to have to wait for at least two weeks. I have been doing all the packing as DH has been taking the boxes to the new house. I'm not sure how many boxes we'll get over there this week as DH is still recovering from oral surgery to remove a wisdom tooth and I'll have to move the boxes myself with Princess in tow. So wish me luck!

P.S.
Stay tuned tomorrow as I share some pic's of some of the goodies I saw at Merchant Square!

Monday, September 29, 2008 "Back to Life, back to reality"

That song was playing on the radio when I was driving the princess to preschool.  Monday's are usually called blue Mondays and I understand that but it's all so a new fresh start kind of day too. Don't you think?

Who says you have to hate moving?  It's difficult but it gives me the chance to clean out, weed through and donate things that we don't use or have no use for.  So after dropping the princess off my BFF Amber came by and we loaded the back of the suv with a ton of stuff and went to the Goodwill.  I didn't have a chance to look around in the store do to lack of time but maybe tomorrow I'm looking for a couple of office desks.    From the Goodwill I took Amber to the new house she hadn't seen it till then.

Then off to the Hot Topic to buy a pair of really cool shoes but of course they didn't have them so we'll have to buy them online.  Always happens doesn't it?

Well, now it's time to get back to packing and taking small things over to the new house and even though it's late afternoon on Monday I hope you had a great day!

I went to Merchant Square yesterday and found three treasures. Which of course I forgot to take pictures of (was too excited). I found a beautiful dresser for the princess' bedroom and two forest green arm chairs for the living room. I'll see if the color will work if not I can always slip on a slipcover. I will post pic's next week after I pick them up. So for now enjoy the eye candy.

What exactly do your write as your very first post?

Welcome to Romantic Cottage!  I have had a couple of different blogs and for what ever reason neither of them have really stuck. I think it had a lot to do with the fact that I think they were just to specific.   So I think I have finally created a blog that I can post what I love the most decorating, creating, photography and tid bits from every day life!  I hope you will find my blog not only interesting but inspiring!

My name is Christine and I am currently a stay at home mom.  We have one daughter who is 4 and we will call her Princess although she really is a drama Queen but there can only be one Queen per household and we have a poodle mix dog named Smokey who basically is our second child. : )  My husband and I have been married for seven years.  I am currently working on getting my Real Estate License which will allow me to work from home as the Princess will be starting kindergarten next year.  I need a career that would allow me to work from home and set my own hours.

So there you have it hope you enjoy Romantic Cottage!
